Sinopses

The Workshop offers to explore various possibilities that the body is capable of producing through inclusive practices in which they question representation patterns and techniques. It will be three days of course that will address subjects regarding the presence of the non-normative body in the creative process. The activities will be given by the visual artist Daniel Moraes that studies question regarding the relationship between the ‘shapeless body’ and the artistic practices, and it will count on the support of Viarco in which it will offer students drawing instruments from the ArtGraf line. The target audience reaches physically disabled people and everyone that has an interest in exploring new techniques relating to drawing.

Biography

Daniel Moraes (1981) lives and works between São Paulo and Lisbon. Mastering in Painting at Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa, finishing his degree in Industrial Drawing at Faculdade de Campinas (2006).  Since 2014, he is a professor in the Post-Graduation Course in Surfaces Design at FACAMP. He works with painting, drawing and video performance. The focus of his study concerns the relationship of the ‘shapeless body’ with art. In 2019, he participated in the Residence of the Artistic Investigation Centre HANGAR (Lisbon) and took part of the collective exhibition Coexistence Zone in the Festival of Spaces of Artists, FEA – Lisbon.
