Biographical Notes
Pedro Tropa was born in Santarém, Portugal. He completed the Visual Arts Advanced Course at Ar.Co, Lisbon. In 1997, he was the recipient of a scholarship granted by the FLAD and the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, so that he could attend the SAIC – School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In that same year, and again in 2004, he received grants from the Fundação Oriente. Since 2009, he is represented by the art gallery Quadrado Azul. He is currently a professor and the director of Ar.Co photography department.
Ricardo Jacinto Lisbon /1975. Working as an sound artist and cellist focusing on the relation of sound and space. Since 1998 has presented his work in individual and group exhibitions, concerts and performances in Portugal and abroad and has collaborated extensively with other artists, musicians, architects and performers. His music is edited by Shhpuma Records, Clean Feed and Creative Sources and his installations are represented in several collections: Serralves Foundation, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Fundação Leal Rios ou Fundação António Cachola. He is a founding member of the OSSO Cultural Association and is currently a PhD researcher at the Sonic Arts Research Center, Queens University Belfast.
